Craig Manufacturing (Hartland, NB) announced today, it has been selected and awarded a $25 million contract by Marshall Land Systems (Cambridge, UK) to produce 845 loadbeds under Canada’s Medium Support Vehicle System (MSVS) – Standard Military Pattern (SMP) project. Marshall Land Systems is a tier one supplier to Mack Defense (Allentown, PA), the Original Equipment Manufacturer of Canada’s SMP vehicle. Craig Manufacturing’s work on the SMP project will span four years and create 26 full time jobs.
Craig Manufacturing is thrilled to have been selected by Marshall as their manufacturing partner on the MSVS program. Many of us at Craig have friends or family serving in the military and we are honoured to build products for them. Being a part of the MSVS program allows us to create new jobs in New Brunswick both at our facility and within our supply chain. It also allows us to build a proven supply chain not only for this program, but to leverage other future defence programs such as Canada’s upcoming Logistical Vehicle Modernization program, right here in New Brunswick.

When Moncrief Construction approached us with this idea, we brought with us decades of experience in realizing custom projects. After collaborating with our customer, we were able to mount a 32 inch, 20,000lb conventional down hole hammer drill to the boom of a Komatsu PC360.

Craig Manufacturing is proud to announce the opening of an additional facility at our Hartland location that we’ve called Plant 15. This 10,000 sq. ft. facility is home to both auxiliary production and advanced manufacturing. We’ve also added additional office space and a custom woodworking shop for creating custom packaging solutions!
Located next door to our head office in Hartland, New Brunswick, Plant 15 will be used for high repeat manufacturing work that is unrelated to heavy construction equipment attachment manufacturing. Have no fear! Our attachment manufacturing is not going anywhere, our main branch locations will continue to be dedicated to providing our customers with custom attachment solutions for the equipment they sell.
